The Highland Bull has a long, warm coat. It is so thick and wooly that even icy cold doesn’t bother him. That’s why he can stay outside all year round. The bulls are easy to distinguish from the cows – the horns of males are bent forward almost horizontally. The horns of females are significantly longer and curve upwards.
